The problem of electromagnetic scattering from a cylindrical reflector antenna with a metal-dielec- tric frequency-selective reflector is solved in a rigorous formulation. The radar cross section (RCS) and radia- tion pattern of the antenna are calculated. It is demonstrated that, outside the operating frequency range of the antenna, the maximum RCS of the antenna with a frequency-selective reflector is 6-7 dB less than the RCS with a metal reflector. In addition, the decrease in the antenna gain at the operating frequency is less than 2 dB.
