摘要

The results of theoretical and experimental investigations of electromagnetic-and-acoustic (EMA) effects in condensed media are presented. It was found that, at certain values of conductivity and permeability, the ponderomotive forces arising in the process of interaction between the electromagnetic field and a ferromagnetic substance may vanish. Basic results of the investigation of EMA effects arising in bounded media are presented. These effects gave rise to the appearance of a new class of electroacoustic transducers (emicons) and a number of new physical methods for engineering diagnostics.
