An Electric Dipole and a Spherical Protrusion on a Half-Space

The 3D problem on the field of an electric dipole situated near a spherical surface partly projecting from a conducting half-space is considered. An analytical solution is obtained in the quasi-static approximation for rational angular points. The near field of the source is studied for various heights of the spherical protrusion.
