Study of the Electromagnetic Compatibility of Local Area Networks under the Action of Nanosecond Electromagnetic Disturbances

The experimental test bench has been developed to perform the quantitative studies of the electromagnetic compatibility of local area networks (LANs). The results obtained by investigating the Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet LANs exposed to nanosecond electromagnetic disturbances are presented. The electromagnetic interference parameters are measured in the LAN cables.
