Integrated Management System for ATM Multimedia Network

摘要

This paper discusses the requirements for ATM network management from the viewpoint of new operational aspects arising from the introduction of ATM. In 1993, NTT and the National Center for Science Information Systems (NACSIS) started a joint research project on high-speed multimedia computer networking. Using NTT's high-speed backbone network, an experimental ATM wide- area network was constructed connecting participating organizations including universities and government laboratories.
