摘要

In a flow/ebb irrigation system P. palmivora caused root rot of H. helix cv. Ester at av. diurnal temp. of 20-30degC but not at 15deg. Most injury occurred and root damage developed faster at 25deg. Wilting of shoots was correlated with root rot. Root rotwas worse during the summer compared with winter. It is concluded that controlling P. palmivora with low temp. is not acceptable in commercial production as plant growth is reduced.
