Kao completes first Merries diapers plant in Indonesia

PT Kao Indonesia, part of the Kao Corporation group, has completed construction of a second plant at Karawang International Industrial City (KIIC) in West Java. The new plant is the company's first in Indonesia to produce Merries baby diapers. Kao held a completion ceremony at the site to mark the occasion at the end of June. Michitaka Sawada, president and CEO of Kao Corporation, said: "Indonesia is a critical market for success of Kao's global growth strategy. The new plant will play an important role as a production base for both the domestic Indonesian market and other Asian markets in the future.
