Factory automation of coke oven machines (charging cars, coke guide cars and coke bucket cars) was devel- oped in Fukuyama No.3 and No.4 coke oven batteries. Position sensors can detect each machines' position in 1mm precision. Adaptive function and auto address correcting system also help machines to move and stop accurately. Therefore the system achieved 6 min- utes period of pushing from oven to oven and on- stream ratio has been more than 99/100.
