摘要

Two kinds of cameras visualizing ultraviolet (UV) and infrared (IR) information by means of the false-color method have been developed. The first one is sensitive at wavelengths of 250-650nm (from UV to yellow) and simulates insect vision. In this camera, invisible UV components are converted to red, while blue and green components are left in their original colors. The camera makes it possible to show in vivid color an insect's view of floral nectar guides or the sexual differences in the coloration of the cabbage white butterfly, which are invisible to the naked human eye.
