President Clinton said his talks with Republicans sometimes reminded him of the lyrics of a country song: "It's hard to soar like an eagle when I'm stuck with a turkey like you." Speaker Newt Gingrich joked that the president was "factually challenged." But backstage, pressure is mounting for a deal when talks resume this week.
