On 30 October the Regional Economic Development Minister, Shane Jones, was in Dunedin and announced that the Government, through the Provincial Growth Fund, was making $19.97 million available for the re-establishment of Hillside Workshops. This is an interesting situation and one must ask, why attempt to recreate the past? Is this turning back the clock?
