Two KiwiRail DQ locomotives, numbers 6324 and 6347 have been sold to South Africa and were shipped from Auckland on the Oberoi on 15 May 2013. The locomotives were previously based at Middleton and used on the coal shuttle run between Middleton and Lyttelton. At the time of sale they were not in service.
