Just a moment ago I began converting a bibliography to Chicago-Style citation, to complete a book project. Having moved around a variety of disciplinary zones, I know the various disciplinary citation styles reasonably well, but I always tend to re-check the details. Though I admit this openly, I do so now with a slight sense of embarrassment. Why can't I just know this stuff by heart?
