DOE's Large Projects Need Independent Review-NRC

The National Research Council is recommending that the Department of Energy consider subjecting energy, science, waste management, and environmental restoration projects individually valued at more than $20 million to an independent review process. In a report prepared for Congress, Assessing the Need for Independent Project Reviews in the Department of Energy, NRC says such reviews "are warranted and would be beneficial."
