Frontline Science in Scotland

Starting in 2009, we have three studentships available in in vivo mammalian physiology or pharmacology. In this doctoral programme students will take an introductory Masters year before deciding on their substantive PhD project to pursue in years 2-4. Students will obtain a Home Office licence and carry out two in vivo laboratory based projects in Year 1 (MRes). Potential supervisors are drawn from the faculties of Biomedical and Life sciences, Medicine and Veterinary Medicine within the research areas of neuroscience, cardiovascular science and immunology. This is a unique and excellent opportunity for students wishing to pursue a career in the pharmaceutical industry or academic research, where experience in in vivo skills is extremely advantageous.
