After months in hiding, a comet pursued by Europe's Rosetta spacecraft is back. Last seen from Earth in October, comet Churyumov-Gerasimenko has emerged from behind the sun. Images show it is brightening as surface ice vaporises into gas in the solar heat. Rosetta is due to land on the comet in November.
