Ice hockey is tricky to master. So Michael Hardegger at the ETH in Zurich, Switzerland, wantsto make life easier for amateurs with wearable tech. He fitted hockey skates with sensors that monitor where a player's feet are and how fast they're moving. The stick also has sensors to track pressure, strain and motion. A smartphone app crunches all the data, letting players study their technique and compare it to a pro's.
