Arqiva calls for wholesale model for mobile TV as row over security continues

Arqiva, known as NTL Broadcast -until a rebranding last week, is calling on the UK's mobile teleph-ony community to adopt a wholesale model based on a single national network for the deployment of television channels to handheld devices. The company, about to take part in a trial of mobile television based on the DVB-H standard, believes that there should be a single infrastructure with a single package of products and services. These would be provided to companies such as mobile telephone operators which would then sell retail packages to customers.
