BT plans two-phase launch of VOD

BT, the incumbent UK telecommunications operator, is planning a two-phase launch of its long-awaited video-on-demand service, which will involve a full-scale marketing blitz in March next year. The company is to launch BT Vision later in the autumn but is expected to wait until spring 2007, by when it will have acquired more content, before launching a major consumer advertising campaign.
