The audiovisual sector has stepped out from the shadows of the music industry in the debate on how to combat illegal peer-to-peer filesharing. As New Media Markets went to press, the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (BERR) was preparing to announce that UK ISPs had signed a voluntary agreement to launch a consumer education campaign with the Motion Picture Association (MPA), which counts major Hollywood studios among its members, and the BPI (formerly the British Phonographic Industry).
