A third of UK watching TV online, says Ofcom

Nearly a third of all homes in the UK are watching television and video online, according to communications regulator Ofcom. In England, Scotland and Northern Ireland, 30 per cent of polled adults said that they had watched online video and television, while the figure in Wales was 24 per cent, equating to a UK average of 30 per cent (see fig. 1). As many as 40 per cent of respondents in London accessed content online, while just 19 per cent had done so in the Welsh town of Newport, according to Ofcom's third Communications Market Report: Nations and Regions, which looks at entertainment and communications trends in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
