French DVB-H faces final test

France's troubled project to launch DVB-H mobile television has until the end of September to get key agreements in place if a launch is to happen before the end of 2010.rnEarlier this month, Nathalie Kosciusco-Morizet, secretary of state for the digital economy, presented a report to prime minister Francois Fallon with proposals to break the deadlock between broadcasters and mobile-telephone operators over the launch of DVB-H.rnThe report was written by Cyril Viguier, the television entrepreneur appointed in March as a mediator between the two parties (JVMM Jun. 24, 2009).rnThe Viguier report, which has not been published but which this publication has seen, says that thernlaunch of DVB-H services could now take place by the end of 2010.
