Toshiba introduces high capacity 2.5-inch hard disk drive series

Toshiba Corp of Japan has introduced a series of 5400 rpm 2.5-inch hard disk drives (HDDs), which it claims realize the industry's largest capacity for a 2.5-inch HDD. Offering a capacity of up to 640 GB, the 2.5-inch HDD line-up is designed for computing applications from notebook computers and all-in-one desktops, to HD images applications, which can benefit from lower power consumption without sacrificing storage capacity.
