LG Display unveils polarized three-dimensional panel

LG Display Co Ltd of Seoul, South Korea, has announced that it has developed a three-dimensional (3D) panel using a polarizing film. The announcment was made at a press conference under the theme of Making the Era of 3D Pleasing to the Eye. The company defines polarized 3D panels as 'next-generation 3D panels' and has started sales promotion of them in the global market. Thus far, the frame sequential method, which uses liquid-crystal shutter glasses, has been mainly employed for 3D televisions using special glasses.
