ICE celebrates Victorian engineer John Scott Russell

ICE's Archives Panel and Panel for Historical Engineering Works are celebrating another great Victorian engineer, John Scott Russell, with an exhibition at One Great George Street, and with the Smea-ton Lecture which will be given at ICE on 15 July by Professor Andrew Lambert. Provokingly, exhibition curator Dr Robert McWilliam suggests Scott Russell was in the same league as Stephenson and Brunei, while Andrew Lambert will bring out some of the controversial aspects of Scott Russell's character and career.
