ICE president Richard Coackley congratulated newly qualified Members and Fellows at the certificate presentation ceremony in Hong Kong during his visit last month. Coackley also met with Hong Kong secretary for development Carrie Lam and permanent sec- retary (Works) CS Wai - as well as officials from UK Trade & Investment. He also addressed Hong Kong University civil engineering students and saw the country's first ever energy recapturing project, the Nim Wan Sludge Incineration Plant.
