WEST HAM NAMED PREFERRED BIDDER FOR OLYMPIC STADIUM

1.The London Legacy Development Corporation Board has unanimously voted to name West Ham United preferred bidder for a concession to play at the Olympic Stadium. If the bid is successful the stadium would be reconfigured for move-able seating, allowing a quick changeover between athletics and football. An agreement between the Legacy Corporation and West Ham United would be conditional on a number of issues, such as whether planning permission is obtained, approval from national governing bodies and the specifications of adaptations to the stadium.
