Queen Elizabeth Engineering Prize puts engineers on the world stage

ICE President Barry Clarke has heralded the ￡1M Queen Elizabeth International Engineering prize awarded last week as a "welcome vehicle for putting engineers of all disciplines on the world stage". Sir Tim Berners-Lee, Robert Kahn, Vint Cerf, Louis Pouzin and Marc Andreessen - the team responsible for pioneering advances to the internet - were named the first winners of the prize last week.
