EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) is a metal pro- cessing method, using an electrical discharge phenomenon between electrode and workpiece with high voltage. EDM meets the needs of die and mold work that requires high accuracy and ultra-hard metal cutting. The EDM technology is a total technology that consists of NC (Numerical Con- trol), EDM power generator, mechanical control and software technology, and it achieves high accuracy and high quality. This paper introduces the features of the EDM control technology.
