Command Master Chief Isherwood assumed duties as Command Master Chief for Coast Guard Personnel Service Center, Arlington, VA, in June 2012 and currently serves as the senior enlisted representative on the Coast Guard Academy's Board of Trustees. An electrician's mate by trade, he joined the Coast Guard in 1982, advanced to chief petty officer in August 1992, made master chief in 1998, and became a command master chief in 2003.
