Ihope you enjoy this latest edition of the Naval Engineers Journal-the flagship publication of our Society. As the flagship, it needs to properly reflect the technical breadth and depth of ASNE's broad membership. 1 encourage each ot you to consider authoring a paper for possible Journal publication on a topic that you're currently developing or exploring which may be of interest to other members. If you have authored and published in previous Journals, by all means do so again-we all benefit from shared ideas, and we can further the state of the art when our ideas are critically reviewed by others in the profession who may have a different perspective than our own.
