Reinventing naval Ship Design

摘要

Process reinvention has become the centerpiece for a revitalized focus within the naval ship design community. Though the Navy still looks to NAVSEA as their primary stakeholder in the design process, NAVSEA will no longer be the lead for performing design work after Milestone I. To provide for the future, they are relying on collaboration and partnerships with shipbuilders, systems integrators, Warfare Centers, and regulatory bodies to remold this capability in a broad-based, consensus manner.
