History can be a valuable tool in learning lessons from previous periods of technological revolution, and Noah's Ark is arguably the earliest example of Applied naval architecture. (Indeed, Noah was the world's first naval ARKitect!!) Historical archives (or shall I say ARKhives??) do not indicate that there Were any classification societies or ship Design standards in noah's day. There Were no 100-knot wind nor 100-year Storm criteria. Yet the ark clearly Survived the world's worst climatic Catastrophe.
