摘要

Cell and tissue culture is integral to most life science and clinical laboratories. More flexible methods for processing cells and new cell lines that more accurately represent cells in vivo are being developed, increasing experimental accuracy. Modifications have been introduced to cell culture vessels that decrease risks of contamination or make sterilization less cumbersome while microscopy is evolving to resolve more details in live cells. Bottlenecks in large scale cell culture are being reduced through automation.
