Biodiversity loss drives change

摘要

Loss of biodiversity is known to reduce ecosystem function, but it is not clear how the threat to function compares with the more direct effects of changes in climate, atmospheric chemistry and nutrient pollution. An analysis of data from 192 published studies shows that biodiversity loss has an equal, or larger, effect than most other drivers of environmental change.
