It often surprises first-time exhibitors at the Natural Stone Show just how active a market place the exhibition is. Of course, some visitors are there to look but there are also plenty who have come along to finalise buying decisions. Notably this time was a project requiring £1.5million-worth of limestone that has gone to Albion Stone for its Portland stone. On the machinery side, D Zambelis took £1.8million-worth of orders. "That's orders that have been signed and completed," says Stella Zambelis, a Director of the company. "Terzago [bridge saws] did £900,000 of business. If I had had five times as many vacuum lifts and smaller stuff I could have sold them all off the stand."
