Obituary

摘要

It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of our dear friend and colleague Jean-Roger Vergnaud. He died in Los Angeles, on January 31, 2011. Jean-Roger played a pivotal role in the field and made major contributions to the theory of generative grammar, from syntax to semantics to phonology and morphology.
