LASER PROJECTION SYSTEM PASSES TEST PHASE AT LUFTHANSA FLIGHT TRAINING

Following the level D certification of the AVI0R LD laser projection system, Lufthansa Flight Training (LFT) successfully tested the new projection system of Rheinmetall Defence in the period from January to July 2007. With that, this innovative laser projection system has reached another significant milestone on its way to series production. On the basis of a cooperation agreement, the two companies joined together in close teamwork to equip an Airbus A340 simulator provided by LFT with the new laser projection system. In this way, it became possible to already examine the integration capabilities of the system during its installation in an existing simulation environment.
