Entry Laws to change

NSW will amend OHS right of entry laws in the wake of a recent Federal Court ruling against two CFMEU organisers.rnThe Court found that the CFMEU organisers had wrongfully entered the Desalination Plant at Kurnell in September 2007.rnNSW Finance Minister Joe Tripodi said the laws would be amended to ensure union officers and employees could enter workplaces to investigate suspected OHS breaches.rnTripodi said that the amendments would be retrospective to ensure that previous workplace inspections by union employees remained valid.
