Aformer Northern Territory prison inmate has been allowed to pursue a workers compensation claim for an injury he sustained while working as part of a prison program.rnIn June 2002, the prisoner volunteered to work in the Alice Springs Prison's work program.rnAfter a brief waiting period, he was assigned as a general hand in the mechanical workshop. A couple of months later, he claimed he was injured while working.
