Falls claim seven lives

WorkSafe WA is concerned that seven workers have been killed in falls in the construction industry in just over 12 months and is urging builders to conform to the code of practice on fall prevention that has existed in the state for 19 years.rnWorkSafe WA Commissioner Nina Lyhne said in addition to the deaths, a further 1300 workers were injured each year as the result of falls - manyrnseriously and permanently.
