WORLD-FIRST ELECTRICAL SAFETY TRAINING SIMULATOR BECOMES REALITY

Melbourne Water and Deakin University's Centre for Advanced Design Engineering Training (CADET) Virtual Reality Training and Simulation Research Lab (VR Lab) have been able to accelerate the development of an electrical safety training simulator, with financial support from the Innovative Manufacturing Cooperotive Research Centre (IMCRC), The collaboration produces an industry-ready immersive system that uses virtual reality technologg and robotics to give users a 'real life' safety training experience that matches the stress and pressure found in workplace emergency situations.
