摘要

NASA and the National Institute of Aerospace (NLA) selected five university teams to participate in the 2019 Breakthrough, Innovative and Game-changing (BIG) Idea Challenge that seeks ideas for the design, installation, and sustainable operation of a habitat-sized Mars greenhouse, with the primary purpose of food production. The goal is to create a greenhouse to provide a vision for the plausible use of plants for space missions. The five teams will present their concepts at the BIG Idea Forum in April.
