An Index to Articles Published in the Etude Magazine, 1883-1957: A New Musicological Resource

摘要

After perceiving the value of the 75 years of articles in The Etude magazine (1887-1953), I published an index through A-R Editions and the Music Library Association that includes author, title, subject, and chronological ordering. The index brings to light first-hand accounts of well-known pedagogues, performers, composers, and writers of the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. With the invention of the car and the radio, society could be exposed to more distant and new modes of musical production and performance.
