At the end of the war Tony was ordered by the Russians to direct a series of mines in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. He wanted no part of the Russians and refused. He and Anna we threatened with immediate arrest and they fled to France. They lived in Paris until it was possible to travel to the United States in 1951. During their time in Paris they assisted other refuges with food and shelter.
