Three unusual passengers boarded the flight in Palm Springs-a man who appeared to be about 30 years old with piercing eyes, an 8-year-old boy, and a middle-aged man. The three had no luggage. After the flight took off, the 30-year-old, who sat in seat 23D, asked the attendant the mass and velocity of the aircraft.
