Simply stated, Geneva is a great show. It has an international feel, puts independent designers and tuners on somewhat even ground with OEMs, and takes place in Switzerland. What else could you ask for? If there's been a downside, it would be an occasional lack of relevance to the North American marketplace. Not so this year. As the globalization of the car business continues, more hardware that shows up over there has more meaning for what eventually happens here. To understand this point, you need look no further than Chevrolet's introduction of the 2005 Corvette roadster in Geneva.
