It's hardly a secret that a new S-Class is on the way. We've seen camouflaged prototypes from Mercedes-Benz's Long Beach, California, Technical Center driving around our headquarters for months. Now, presumably filming a commercial in Los Angeles. As you can see, the design is evolutionary and incorporates all the new themes from the latest SL-, E-, and CLA-Classes. We understand that, unusually, Mercedes developed the long-wheelbase model first to satisfy major markets such as China where owners prefer to be chauffeured, and the automaker will later shrink it to make a standard-wheel-base model. Also reportedly on the table are a six-door Pullman, a two-door replacement for the CL to be called either S-Class Coupe or possibly SLC, a convertible version of that SLC, and even a "four-door coupe" model like the CLS.
