Founded in 1958 by Richard Fisher and headquartered in Edgewater, Florida, Boston Whaler is now owned by the Brunswick Corporation (the largest marine manufacturer in the world) and employs about 1,000 people, mostly based at the Florida factory. And whilst the range has flourished beyond imagination in those 61 years, the brand stays true to its roots, still building tough, high quality, unsinkable craft. The secret is Unibond Construction, the method of build for every Boston Whaler to this day, providing not just that legendary unsinkability, but also contributing to the strength of the boat and improving the ride quality. And when Boston Whaler claims unsinkability, it really means it. Adverts and videos of Boston Whalers sliced in half are legendary across the company's 60-year history. More recently, the company swamped a 370 Outrage and then added 40 people to prove that the philosophy applies across the entire range.
