Not too long ago, automotive research firm AutoPacific released the results of a study that shows American consumers would consider a Chinese or Indian vehicle without knowing the specific brands or vehicles. So much for the "Buy American" campaign.rnAutoPacific president George Peterson says we shouldn't be surprised at this attitude. He points out that Americans are used to buying high-tech products made in China. Apparently, this has led to a fairly high level of confidence among consumers that would carry over to vehicle purchases.
